Sugar Creek Montessori Schools (SCMS) are a division of American Montessori Schools (est. 1986), an educational organization that has developed 5 Montessori schools in the greater Houston area. Sugar Creek Montessori School was established in 1994 and has campuses conveniently located to serve Sugar Land/Missouri City, Katy, Fulshear, Richmond and surrounding communities. SCMS has earned a reputation for providing a very high standard of early childhood education. Highlights of all campuses include large indoor gymnasiums and classrooms with lots of natural lighting, age appropriate classroom environments, low child to teacher ratios, and a highly experienced leadership team comprised of experienced Montessorians. SCMS strives to provide outstanding Montessori programs in a nurturing environment that develops the emotional, social, academic and creative potential of every child. SCMS provides a rich curricular experience ranging from academic subjects including Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Language Arts and extending with creative subjects including Art, Music, Computers, Spanish and PE. Optional classes in Robotics, STEM, Piano, Yoga, Mandarin Language, Gymnastics, Dance and Martial Arts are offered (varies by campus).
